Required Documents for Indian Nationals to visit Nepal:

Indian citizens over the age of 10 years travelling to Nepal by air must have in his/her possession any of the following documents to establish his/her identity as an Indian citizen:

1. Valid Indian passport; or,

2. Photo identity card issued by the Government of India; or,

3. Travel Document issued by the Embassy of India in Nepal.

Visa For Other Nationals:

Nationals of other countries can apply for visa online selecting this Consulate General as issuing office. Visa can also be acquired from the points of entry into Nepal.

However, nationals of the following countries should get visa prior to their arrival in Nepal:

1. Nigeria
2. Ghana
3. Zimbabwe
4. Swaziland
5. Cameroon
6. Somalia
7. Liberia
8. Ethiopia
9. Iraq
10. Palestine
11. Afghanistan

Visa For Nationals of SAARC Countries:

Visa for nationals from SAARC countries is free for onece in a year. Only the first visa issued during a period of one year is entitled for free, and validity of the visa shall be maximum up to 30 days.
